(WASHINGTON, D.C., 1847-1879) SILVER REPOUSSE COFFEE POT AND A COVERED SUGAR BOWL AND CREAM JUG comprising a Galt & Bro. pedestal coffee pot, with a central floral spray to body and cover, foliate scrolling handle and spout, with floral engine turned bands to rim, shoulder, base and foot ring, with berried finial; together with a Gale & Son coordinating cream jug but with a band of beaded keyfret to shoulder and foot ring, and an unmarked matching covered two-handled pedestal sugar bowl, the engine turned band does not contain a shell, 79.5 ozt (3)

Provenance: By descent through the family of a prominent Alexandria resident.
