CHINESE EMBROIDERED PANEL, QING DYNASTY probably once a section from a robe, the rectangular panel embroidered all over with an all-encompassing satin stitch, with scattered flowerheads done in forbidden knots as well as couched copper thread flowers above a simulated stitched design of waves and rockery, trimmed with a band of Buddhistic emblems, backed with blue cotton cloth, h: 42.5 x w: 32.5 in.
