Note: Story would make this portrait of Lincoln with the Capitol to his right from sketches made of Lincoln in 1861, the year he was elected President. Other Lincoln portraits by Story can be found at the White House and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.

Prints were made from this portait by "Gates Radio and Supply Company" in 1931 (letter dated July 1931 to Mr. Lewis A. Warren from the Gates Radio and Supply Company)
